The equipment and technique change depending on the wood species and the floor's history, but the process is the same: bring it back to raw, address what's underneath, seal it for the next generation.

A refinish costs a fraction of a new floor and preserves character that's genuinely irreplaceable.

How is this different from your buff & coat renewal?
Buff & coat is a screen-and-recoat — no sanding down to bare wood. It's a fraction of the cost and time, but only works if your existing finish is intact (no deep scratches, gouges, or water damage). Refinishing goes all the way down and addresses everything underneath.
Can you match a stain on an existing room?
Usually yes — we'll bring stain samples and test on a hidden area to nail the match. Perfect matches are hard when the original stain has aged unevenly, but we get very close.
